Coast Counselling are fully committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information and make every effort to ensure that it is processed in a fair and transparent way. This privacy policy describes how we collect and use personal information about you and during and after working with us, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy does not form part of any contract to provide services. We may update this policy at any time. Coast Counselling is the Data Controller' for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which means we are responsible for the personal information you share with us.

The kind of information we hold about you

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

We may collect, store, and use the following categories of personal information about you: personal details such as name, title, addresses, telephone numbers, personal email addresses and any other information you have provided to us.

We will only use your personal information to fulfil our contractual obligations and the information is necessary for us to be able to offer you the service; where we need to comply with a legal obligation or when it is necessary for our legitimate interests and your interests.

We have in place appropriate and secure, physical and technical procedures to protect your personal information. Our staff are trained in collecting, using, storing and managing your information.

We will keep your personal information for seven years.
